“Design is not decorating,” Joe says with conviction. He feels that the design work that he does is about working with spaces. Working with a space to make it meaningful and memorable is what it is all about; this is what keeps Joe coming back for more.


We dare you to say that ten times fast. ANYWAY, 661Arts will be holding it’s monthly meeting in the Orchard Rooms at Santa Clarita City Hall this Thursday, March 18th, from 3:45-5:30pm. Alright, so we know what you’re thinking: Where did 661Arts go? Right?? We were thinking the same thing. ANYWAY, we’re back, but we’re making some changes – hence, the current bare, and minimal (but oh-so-pretty) site layout. So, hang tight and expect to see some consistent updates in the very near future.


The City Council has officially approved the formation of an Arts Commission. Nobody really knows what that means for now - the Arts Advisory Committee will work with City Staff to determine exactly how it will come together - but one thing is for sure: There will be more attention given to the Arts in Santa Clarita in coming years.


661Arts had a booth at the Street Art Festival last weekend, and made a whole lot of people smile.
