24700 McBean Parkway is pretty quiet during the Summer. The halls are quiet as music students who normally practice marimba or sax spend time at work and play back home. Parking is a breeze. Some art students remain to work in their studios, and except for a few weeks of high school summer school kids (CSSSA), there is peace. The walls get painted and the floors get waxed, and the guy who fills the vending machine gets a well deserved break. And then, they return to class beginning with a ritual called Walk-Around Registration. They could probably just use computers to do this, but it would not look nearly as cool. See here.
