Who says there is no great art venue in Santa Clarita? We stumbled across this amazing art sale show exhibition extravaganza in front of the Kmart and were simply delighted to know that it is not completely impossible to find a place where fine original paintings are on display. The parking is very convenient and the prices, very reasonable. A local art buyer will find an almost infinite variety of flowers, plants and landscapes printed and framed with a quality on par with work in motels and dental offices all over the SCV and beyond. Good luck getting through security, and the crowd.

Heavy Hitters of the Santa Clarita Valley Artists Association are hard at work arranging and installing “United By Art” in the COC Art Gallery, and from the looks of things this will be a monster show. There’s this big metal dinosaur… anyway, beautiful stuff! The Art Classic is the Artists Association’s major yearly exhibition and fund-raising gala, and while this is the first time the show has been allowed into this prestigious venue, this is year 18 for the event. The Art Classic is Saturday, October 13th at 6pm and is an outstanding way to spend a couple of bucks on a Saturday night. Dress nice, and wear black if you’re cool. The art will also be available for your viewing pleasure on the 6th, 8th-11th, and the 13th. For more information, visit santaclaritaartists.org.
